      Something I’ve been sitting with for a while and finally decided to test.

      I kept noticing a pattern in myself and in people around me. Not the “I’m distracted by my phone” kind of procrastination but avoidance. More like: I know exactly what I need to do, I have the skills, the task is clear and then… nothing (productive, that is. Lots of scrolling, “procrastiplanning”, research, etc.). Especially when the task involves being seen. Sending something, sharing something, putting something out there.

      I started calling it the freeze. And for a lot of people with ADHD it seems to hit hardest right at that visibility threshold.

      What actually helped, for me at least, wasn’t just another app or system. It was a very simple structure: a small group, you state out loud what you’re going to do in the next 45 minutes, then everyone works in silence, then you report back honestly. Did you do it or not.

      No chat. No socialising during. Just a clean container with witnessed commitment at the start and end.
      I’m experimenting and testing this format and looking for people who want to try it. Especially curious whether it lands differently for us neurospicies… my guess is the external structure plus the low social pressure during the work block might be a good combination.
