Can I just say how exhausting this whole Christmas thing is here in Europe?
Since 2- 3 years I’m not romanticizing it anymore, which is sad to some degree, but I know that the sparkle is mostly for children and if you know too much, see too much and feel too much, it’s really exhausting for me personally.
The crowds rushing through the Christmas markets, the adults completely stressed and sometimes even a big aggressive, of course not all but so many. Ugh… Give me a break. I wish I could still have my glowy eyes like back then, but I assume it will never come back, because I know so much is fake as well and then I’m standing at a singing Christmas tree seeing the kids sing and dance and I? Cry.. Contradictory, but can co-exist. π₯΄
Deep and honest thoughts. I’m experiencing this for the last 8-10 years I think. I think I would like it again, if I could experience it calmly and honest. The rushing, stressed and aggressive crowds are the opposite of my understanding of Christmas.
Crying while watching kids singing and dancing? Sure! I think they’re doing exactly what Christmas stands for. Being happy and thankful with and about friends and family, having a nice come together and enjoy live.
Thanks for your kind words π«ΆπΌ
